Katie Tesseyman

Katie is the Women’s Officer for London School of Economics (LSE)
  • My first main project this year is LSE Consent Now, which is a campaign to get mandatory consent training for all incoming students at LSE. The university management do not consider mandatory face to face training to be “productive” and refuse to provide consent education to more than a handful of students. LSE Consent Now are putting pressure on LSE management to put the safety of their students first and provide this vital education in a format that ensures it is taken seriously and delivered effectively.
  • My second project has been to lobby for the provision of free menstrual projects in all the bathrooms in the Student Union building (which will hopefully be expanded to the rest of campus). A motion in support of this campaign passed last week so we will be working to implement this by the end of the academic year.
